OPEN THE DOOR TO A CHILD’S IMAGINATION

New York City Ballet has always been committed to the philosophy that ballet belongs to everyone and for over forty years we have facilitated unforgettable experiences for some of the most underserved schools in the community through a series of education programs approved by the New York City Department of Education for the quality of their curricula.  This endeavor is made possible gifts designated to the Mentors Circle by individuals who wish to support education as well as the arts.  Each year, over 3,000 students – who might not otherwise receive arts or physical education – receive the services of teaching artists who guide them through assignments and experiences designed to broaden their understanding of the arts and enhance their academic performance – including attendance to one of two matinee performances scheduled just for them.

When you designate a gift to of $6,500 or more to the Mentors Circle, you are supporting these inspiring in-school programs as well as other education initiatives for audiences, the artistic community, and the general public.  Benefits are commensurate with our Circle of Friends privileges for the patron level you select, along with the applicable tax deductibility for that level, and may include some special opportunities to view these programs in action.
